Lost Sectors are the most wild, hit-or-miss RNG ever. Sometimes I get the exotic after 1-2 runs, sometimes it’s 12-15. I’ve heard of clanmates with 30+ run dry spells. I only run on Legend, there’s no point to Master as it takes longer to do the run which evens out the supposedly increased drop rate.It depends on your own ability and the lost sector. 99% of the time though, Legend will be less hassle and work out better in the long run. If you average 5 Master runs per 30 minutes, but can do 7 or 8 (with less stress) of Legend in the same time, Legend will definitely be better over time.This makes even less sense considering the rate of current Exotic drops in the 1830 Lost Sectors is the same as previous Sectors that required less power. lost sectors are not a fairly difficult activity, if ur not blindly running into to enemies they take on average 5-10 mins. Master lost sectors should drop mats or something but legend lost sectors are probably fine. A few of them like veles or aphelion can be done in like 2 mins. But on legend it can take easily 10-20 clears to get a drop. It took me 23 clears to get RDMs for example. Back when you could blow through a lost sector in a minute or two it was less of an issue, but now even an experienced player with a good build is going to spend 5+ minutes a run, and when drop rates are this low, you'll typically have an hour pass before you'll even see a single exotic piece, never mind the one you're farming for.
