Hey guys, So far, my third year is off to a rocky start. What I'm concerned about here is the fact that, while I haven't failed any shelfs yet, I was between 0.5 to 1 SDs below my rotation's average on three of them - OB/GYN 1st, Neuro 2nd, and most recently Surgery. I did above average on the Psych shelf (our school combines Psych and Neuro).Did uw seem similar to the actual shelf to you? I felt like the shelf was a mixture of the practice nbmes and uw. It felt fair. psych shelf had a really tough curve, the actual exam was fine. I think I got percent correct in the low 80s but had a 50th percentile.As far as I understand it, they don't provide them. They do give you the average and standard deviation though. So the best you can do is assume a perfect Gaussian distribution and use a calculator to find roughly where you fall. I used UWorld, Anki, and the NBME. For UWorld I did 25 Q's a day on weekdays, and 40-50 on each day during weekends and days off. I did about 900 with 200 left, and no time to review incorrects.
